Pride of the Green I

Senior members of the Lincoln High School marching band Pride of the Green pose with their trophy Oct. 26 after qualifying for the school’s ninth trip to the Indiana State School Music Association State Finals in the semi-state at Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis. “These kids rehearsed all week and were determined to make finals,” said director Bill Marsh. “I am so proud of their work ethic and determination. Finals were tough, but they rehearsed through the weather and made trip number nine to state finals happen.” The band will perform its show, “Wishes,” at 1:54 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday. The band will perform fourth in the lineup of 10 bands that includes Beech Grove High School, Norwell High School of Ossian, Concordia Lutheran High School of Fort Wayne, Fairfield High School of Goshen, Edgewood High School of Ellettsville, Western High School of Russiaville, Angola High School, Mount Vernon High School and NorthWood High School of Nappanee.
