• The Knox County Support Group for Caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease (or other dementia) meets the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. at Central Church of Christ (Fellowship Hall), 1600 Forbes Road. The meetings provide the latest information on Alzheimer's research and medications, help and encouragement from other caregivers and open, but confidential discussions and a chance to be heard. • Helping Hands of Knox County will host a Parents Supporting Parents group from 6-7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at The Willows, 1901 Willow St. Parents, guardians, grandparents and/or foster parents are invited to attend. • Good Samaritan Hospital will host a cancer survivor group from 6-7 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the conference room of the Cancer Pavilion. Because of the holidays there will not be a support group meeting in December.
