The Vincennes University Music Department will host a Guest Faculty Recital at 6 p.m. Monday at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Sam Savage, currently the coordinator of studio voice at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, will be accompanied on piano by VU adjunct faculty member Joni Chan. Savage will be performing Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe, as well as several works by G. Verdi.

Chan recently completed her doctorate in piano performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees with high honors under the guidance of Luba Edlina-Dubinsky, renowned pianist of the Borodin Trio, and where she also taught as an associate instructor.
