Foundation hosting 'Treasure Hunt'

The Vincennes/Knox Preservation Foundation will host a 'Treasure Hunt' sale Saturday at 112 Seminary St.

The sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition to architectural salvage, preservation members are donating antique furniture, cabinets, lamps and other items for the sale.

The public is invited, and refreshments will be served.

The organization acquired the historic French house, one commonly referred to as the Hilt House, two years ago and restored its exterior. The preservation foundation now uses the home to store architectural salvage it has collected over the years, primarily from local, historic homes that have been razed.

All proceeds will go toward maintenance and continued restoration of the Hilt House.
