The following information comes from reports provided by the Vincennes Police Department, the Vincennes Fire Department, the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, the Lawrence County, Illinois, Sheriff’s Department, the Washington City Police Department or the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department as well as The Associated Press. Charges not involving warrants are preliminary and may be changed before formal filing by a prosecutor.

Local teen arrested in June burglaries case

Antonio Cortez Hernandez, 19, of Vincennes, was arrested by city police on Wednesday and charged with five counts of burglary related to a series of June break-ins.

Included in the items stolen were firearms.

Among the businesses at which the robberies took place were Piggy Banc Pawn Shop, 706 N. Second St., the 6th Street Vendor Mall, 1675 N. Sixth St., and Pawn It thrift store at 2126 N. Sixth St.

During the investigation, Hernandez was named as a person of interest. He was arrested after being interviewed by police.

• Christy Lee Davis, 37, Vincennes, out-of-county warrant; failure to appear

• Nicolas Anthony-Michael Twigg, 24, Vincennes, criminal trespass

• Andrew Levell Lewis, 23, Vincennes, probation violation
