Gina Marie Petty

Gina Marie Petty, 63, of Westfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.

She was born in Vincennes on Nov. 17, 1954. Gina was a graduate of Lincoln High School and attended classes at the University of Indianapolis. She was most recently employed at About Special Kids, ASK.

Gina is survived by her husband, Richard E. Petty; her children, Laura L. Andrews Sorrells and Amber R. Andrews; her sisters, Linda C. Haywood Fox and Vicki L. Haywood DeWitt Phelan; and her brother Rodney M. Haywood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor F. Haywood and Freda M. Pendleton Haywood Wilkes

A Celebration of Gina’s life will be noon on Saturday at Little and Sons Funeral Home in Beech Grove. Burial will be in Westridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Leona Faye Scott

Leona Faye Scott, 80, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at her home.

Leona was born on May 21, 1938. She married Bobby Scott on June 26, 1978. Leona was a homemaker. She was the daughter of Charles Norman Catt and Marjorie Soden Willis. Leona loved doing her crocheting, sewing, and other crafts. She was also always ready for a rainy day. 

She is survived by three sons, Richard Hall and his wife, Joyce, of Indianapolis, Terry Hall and his wife, Shane, of St. Francisville, Illinois, and Michael Hall and his wife, Judie, of Vincennes; two daughters, Carla Racey of Bicknell and Sheila Risley and her husband, Gregory, of Oaktown; 10 grandchildren April Miller, Rochelle Roberson and her husband, Roger, Richard Hall and his wife, Kassandra, Brandy Mackey and her husband, Adam, Brianna Abrams, Brandon Hall, Chade Risley, Victoria Rickard and her husband, Joseph, Jennifer Williams and her husband, Michael, and Cassandra McCarter and her husband, Lucas; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; six brothers, Delbert William Catt, Charles Norman Catt, Jimmie Lee France, and David Lynn Willis, all of Vincennes, Bruce Allen Catt of Monroe City, and Jeffery Wade Catt of Bicknell; and four sisters, Bettie Lucas of Emmitt, Idaho, Priscilla Wissel and her husband, Michael, May Thompson, and Vicky Ellerman and her husband, Arlon, all of Vincennes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters, Barbara Jean Catt, Rosaletta Kay “Katie” Murphy, Teresa Ellen Zubutia, and Pamela Charlene Elliott; three brothers Norman Eugene Catt, Charles Wayne Catt, Gary Michael Willis; and a great-grandson, Jamie Lynn Miller.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Monday at Fredrick & Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, 313 Church St. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Monday at the funeral home.

Billy B. Seward

Billy B. “Buck” Seward, 79, of Lawrenceville, Illinois. passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his residence.

He was born Dec. 1, 1938 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the son of Willard and Edith (Haycock) Seward. He married Judith A. Miller on June 15, 1958 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 24, 2008. Buck was a life-long farmer. His memberships included the National Guard, Moose, Elks, and Lawrence County Country Club. He was an avid hunter and loved golfing and fishing.

Survivors include one son, David Seward and his wife, Jacki, of Lawrenceville; two daughters, Kathy Courtney and husband, Jeff, of Lawrenceville and Beth Seward-Couch and husband, David, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; one sister, Ailene Seitzinger of Lawrenceville; eight grandchildren, Brian Courtney, Jordan Seward, Jesse Courtney, Rayann Taylor, Macee Seward, Katie Courtney, Rona Taylor, and Spencer LeBahn; and three great-grandchildren, Chase Montgomery, Benjamin Courtney, and Adelaide Courtney.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Judith; and one sister, Jean Morey.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. CDT on Tuesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. CDT on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Resource Center & Wig Shoppe.
