Holly Ann Taggart

Holly Ann Taggart

Holly Ann Taggart, 63, of St. Francisville, Illinois, passed away at home surrounded by her family and friends on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018.

She was born Jan. 22, 1955 to Howard Wayne Taggart and his wife Dorothy Margaret (VanPatten) Taggart. Holly graduated in 1973 as a member of the last class from St. Francisville High School. She then attended Vincennes University. Holly was a long-time member of the St. Francisville Christian Church, a member of the St. Francisville Women’s Club where she served as the president for two years, was very involved in helping with the St. Francisville All-School Reunions, and sang in the Community Choir at the Wabash Valley College Christmas Concert. Holly briefly worked at Golden Rule, and she then worked 38 years at Good Samaritan Hospital in medical records.

The prayers and well wishes of others and her faith sustained her through her long battle with cancer. She wants to be remembered as a child of God, a friend to all, who was loved by many.

Holly is survived by her mother, Dorothy Taggart of St. Francisville; one sister, Linda Buchanan and her husband, Ed, of St. Francisville; one brother, Joe Taggart of St. Francisville; and an aunt and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Wayne Taggart; paternal grandparents J. H. and Florence Taggart; and maternal grandparents Clarence and Elma VanPatten.

A funeral service for Holly Ann Taggart will be 1p.m. CDT on Friday at the St. Francisville Christian Church. Burial will take place in Oak Lawn Cemetery of St. Francisville. Visitation will be 11 a.m. CDT until the hour of services on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or to the church of one’s choice.
