BLOOMFIELD — Bloomfield’s softball team rallied with three two-out runs in the seventh inning to force extra frames and scored the winning tally in the eighth for an 8-7 victory over North Knox on Monday.

The Lady Warriors (3-7) belted 14 hits, drew a pair of walks and watched the Cardinals make eight errors, but were hurt by stranding 14 runners on base.

Brianna Page, Mercedes Harbin, Katie Kixmiller, Madison Carpenter and Jordin Riggle each smacked a pair of hits for North Knox. Kixmiller and Riggle provided triples, and Carpenter and Phoebe Worstell added doubles. Cayman Strain singled with three RBIs and Lyndsey Fuller singled with two RBIs. Mallory Rogers also singled. Carpenter scored two of the team’s seven runs.

Strain took the loss, allowing eight runs, five earned, in 7 1/3 innings, on 15 hits and three walks with six strikeouts.

The Warriors are at Class A No. 4 North Central at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
