Jasper captured a pair of tight sets and spiked Lincoln, 25-15, 26-24, 18-25, 25-23, in a Big Eight Conference volleyball match Tuesday at Alice Arena.
Alison Hein collected 19 kills and 18 digs for the Alices (10-3, 0-1 Big Eight). Darrian Carmean notched 16 kills; Maycee Lange nine kills, four blocks; Callie Foster 43 assists, five aces; and Kali Haynes 18 digs, two aces.
"We came out slow in the first set and had some defensive errors that is usually the staple of our team. But our defense had 80 digs, and it carried us in our last three sets," Lincoln coach Casey Bowles said. "We had some unforced errors that hurt us in that second set, but toward the end of the set our girls started believing in themselves.
"Alison and Darrian were key offensive contributors in that third set and momentum started to go to our side. We took the lead in the fourth set, but Jasper

picked up its game, and it was a battle to the end," Bowles said. "It's a great sign to see our girls compete with high-quality teams such as Jasper. It's only going to make us better playing good teams."
