Rivet's Herman honored

Rivet senior Lauren Herman poses with her parents, Ann and Dan Herman, as they have their photograph taken after Herman was named the recipient of Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude Award in Class A following the girls state title game at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute on Saturday. The Lady Patriots fell to No. 1-ranked Oregon-Davis, 69-64. Herman is the third Rivet student to win the Class A mental attitude award in the last calendar year, following Allyson Wehrheim, who claimed the Roy award last season, and Colin Vieke, who won the L.V. Phillips Mental Attitude Award following the Class A baseball state finals in June.
