The following areas of the Y open to members (temporary until June 14): both gymnasiums, lap pool, warm therapy pool, weight room, cardio room, walking track, men’s genesis center (lockers, showers and restrooms only), women’s genesis center (lockers, showers and restrooms only) and locker rooms.
General facility guidelines
Vulnerable employees and members — Those 65 and over and individuals with identified high-risk medical conditions are particularly vulnerable to coronavirus. This vulnerable population is strongly encouraged to stay at home.
Active encouragement of regular hand-washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, particularly at key times. Hand sanitizer of at least 60% alcohol will be available if soap and water are not available. Signs will be located in all restrooms and throughout the facility.
Sick individuals will be actively encouraged to stay home.
Health assessments and temperature screenings will be used and enforced for all employees and members before entry to the YMCA of Vincennes. Use of social distancing and/or physical barriers will be used to protect individuals conducting the screening. See modifications to our facility programs and services.
Health screening forms will be signed by members and employees after health assessment and entry to our facility. Forms will be kept on file.
Staff will wear face coverings (e.g. masks, scarfs, surgical masks).
Six-foot social distancing will be maintained throughout the entire building. Signage will be located throughout the YMCA of Vincennes.
All water fountains will be closed. Guests will be encouraged to bring their own drinks and towels.

New signage will be available directing members through the new check-in process.
Separate entrance and exit areas will be sectioned off for ease of checking in or out of the facility.
Access to the facility will be monitored and members and staff will be screened upon entering the building. Temperature checks, verbal questionnaire completed. (e.g., fever, cough, shortness of breath) Members will be required to sign off upon completion of this wellness screening.
Members will be required to self-scan (touchless) into the YMCA or verbally communicate from proper social distance.
