Leslie Beard

WIN Energy REMC is pleased to announce the promotion of Leslie Beard to chief operating officer, effective Dec. 15. Beard began her career with the cooperative on Oct. 19, 2000, as a customer service representative. Since that time, she has served in various capacities, including as billing representative, manager of marketing and communications, and director of marketing and member services.

Beard holds a bachelor’s of science degree in marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a master of business administration (MBA) with a concentration in accounting from the University of Southern Indiana. During her 20 years with the cooperative, Beard has also focused on industry-specific education, including the successful completion of the Rural Leaders In Training Exchange (RELITE) program, the Cooperative Accelerated Leadership Development (CALD) program, and the Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program (MIP), and she is currently working on obtaining her designation as a Certified Cooperative Communicator (CCC).

Beard is actively involved in the community. She currently serves as marketing chair and is on the executive committee of Knox County Development Corp., and as a board member of Gibson County Economic Development Corporation, Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation, and Vincennes Area Builder’s Association. She and her husband, Bryce, and their two daughters, Morgan and Makinley, are all active members of Central Church of Christ in Vincennes.

As COO, Beard will oversee all daily operations and provide leadership to the management team of the cooperative. Her experience, education, and dedication to the cooperative will prove very beneficial in her new role.

WIN Energy REMC directors and employees would like to congratulate Leslie on her promotion.
