COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Community United Methodist Church, 1548 S. Hart Street Road, has resumed in-person services at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. The service can be viewed live on the church Facebook page, Community United Methodist (Vincennes, Indiana). The services will also be downloaded to our website www.cumcvincennes.org for viewing any time. Sunday school begins at 10:45 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

First Baptist Church, 2625 Wabash Ave., is holding in-person worship services on Sundays at 10 a.m. and following social distancing guidelines. Alan Finnan will be delivering the message with Phillip Walthall leading worship. Sunday small groups and children’s church will resume on Sunday. FIRST CHURCH OF GOD

First Church of God, 1408 E. Saint Clair St., offers worship at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., following social distancing guidelines. Youth and children’s services will not be available at this time. Church on the Street is offered on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

All Church Prayer meeting is from 5-6 p.m. Sunday in room 3 at the church.

ST. JOHN LUTHERAN

The sermon for Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church, 707 N. Eighth St., will be “Hearing!”

ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 925 Broadway St., holds Sunday services at 9:30 a.m. St. Paul’s is an ELCA congregation. Social distancing in seating, Holy Communion, and sharing of the peace will be practiced. Those attending are encouraged to wear masks, with masks available if needed. St. Paul’s continues to stream the service on Facebook Live at 9:30 a.m. Pastor April Dailey will preach from the Gospel of Matthew 14. All are welcome to join us in worship.

ST. PETER LUTHERAN CHURCH

St. Peter Lutheran Church, 7000 S. Decker Road, has services at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Bible class and Sunday school are at 9 a.m. For those who can’t make it to church, St. Peter sponsors “Worship Anew,” which is televised at 8 a.m. on Sundays on WTWO, channel 2 in Terre Haute.

WABASH COMMUNITY CHURCH

Wabash Community Church, 1033 N. 10th St., has returned to in-house worship. Sunday School for adults with Richard Beesley begins at 9:30 a.m. and worship with at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to join us “where the Gospel is heard in Word and Song.”

The message this week is “If the Foundations are Destroyed?” Psalm 11:1-7.

“The Return” gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 26 at Patrick Henry Square. This is a gathering for all Christians asking God to return to America. We are claiming 2 Chronicles 7:14. This is not associated with any church, but for all Christians to gather. We are not protesting, but time to gather with special music and prayer. More information will follow. WORD OF LIFE CHURCH

Word of Life Church, 7144 Russell Drive, Bicknell, is following the governor’s back-on-track guidelines for houses of worship. Sunday worship corporate gatherings will be at 10 a.m. Facebook live will continue to be offered for those unable to attend. Wednesday Bible study via Facebook live only is at 8 p.m. Additional ministries and activities will continue at a later date.

First Choice Solutions, formerly the Pregnancy Care Center, is having a Night of Praise on Aug. 21 at the Word of Life Church. Music will be provided by Forged in Fire. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Music will be provided from 7-8:30 p.m. Free will offerings will be accepted. Come join us to relax and listen to some good Christian praise music and to give praise and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ.
