The Knox County Fair will host its annual Miss Knox County 4-H Fair Queen competition at 7 p.m. Monday in the Vincennes University Pavilion, located at the fairgrounds in Bicknell.

There are nine girls competing for the title, which is currently held by Emily Myers.

Seating under the pavilion will be limited to ten guests per contestant. The general public is invited to bring chairs and sit around the perimeter. Social distancing guidelines should be followed.

Friends and family may also vote for the winner of the People’s Choice Award. Votes are $1 and must be to the fair office by 5 p.m. on Monday.

Due to COVID-19, the Knox County Fair Board months ago opted to largely cancel the county fair, which is scheduled for next week, in favor of a scaled-back version. 4-Hers are still participating in livestock shows and submitting projects, but those are closed to the public. There will be no rides, vendors or grandstand events this year.
