100 Women

The 100 Women Who Care of Knox County is proud to announce its January Gift Recipient following its quarterly Gift Giving Meeting.

The Vincennes Community School Corp.’s Secret Alice Fund was awarded $7,300. The donation amount will increase over the next few weeks as the nonprofit receives donations from members who were not present at Thursday’s meeting.

Since its inception in July 2019, the 100 Women Who Care of Knox County have given more than $85,000 to our local nonprofit community.

The group met in person at St. John’s United Church of Christ for its first quarterly meeting of 2021. They heard presentations from three local nonprofits: VCSC, the YMCA of Vincennes and The Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy.

Due to the current public health crisis, 100 Women gave its 178 members two ways to attend the meeting: in-person or virtually via Facebook Live. The group provides an online voting form and online nomination form prior to the meeting, allowing both groups of members to vote after the presentations.

The 100 Women organization will meet again on Thursday, April 15, 2021, for a Gift Giving Meeting featuring presentations from Friends of Special Athletes, the Vincennes Civitan Club, and the Salvation Army of Vincennes.
