Lose 2021 holiday challenge

Join the Lose 2021 holiday challenge! The Lose 2021 challenge gives you that extra motivation to stay in shape during the holidays — and you even get your own gift at the end! To complete the challenge, participate in 15 group exercise classes or workouts in branch (record your workouts inside the YMCA of Vincennes) between Nov. 25-Jan. 1, 2022. Track your progress through the YMCA member app to earn your prize!

Register at the front desk or online. Cost is $15. Then, join the challenge on the YMCA member app before or on Nov. 25. If you are using the app to track your progress you must join the challenge on the app. Members must track 15 group exercise classes or workouts in branch. You can use the YMCA member app to log your workouts and group exercise classes. We also have papers for those who would like to get their classes and group fitness classes “signed off” by Y staff and instructors. For more detailed information on how to log a workout or class on the app visit the YMCA of Vincennes.

Tot Time is back

Tot Time open gymnastics is back! Play time for toddlers (pre-school age and younger) and their parents is open from 10-11 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. An adult must accompany children. Winter Warrior Virtual Run

The Winter Warrior Virtual Run will start on Dec. 21 (the first day of winter) and continue through to March 20, 2022, (the first day of spring). This year our goal is 180 Miles! This is an average of 15 miles per week. The registration fee is $30 for members and $35 for non-members.

Registration is open now. Use the code WW2022 to get $5 the registration fee for the first two weeks of November.

Virtual race participants will be able to keep track and report their own miles daily, weekly, or monthly through our easy-to-use online form. Running totals will be updated daily so runners can check their miles. Miles can be submitted through the YMCA of Vincennes Web site home page or through the YMCA member app.

What counts as miles? Running, jogging, walking, indoor tracks, treadmills and elliptical machines will count towards your miles. Daily step counts will not be counted. We want you to challenge yourself and your fitness to achieve more!

Participants will receive a participation t-shirt and customized race bib.

Finishers receive race medals!

Veterans Day/Military Family Month

Throughout the year, and especially this November, the YMCA of Vincennes supports military families with programs and initiatives that improve their well-being and provide opportunities to connect with other families waiting at home.
