The YMCA of Vincennes, 2010 College Ave., is open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays; and 1-6 p.m. on Sundays.
12-week triathlon training
12-week triathlon training will begin Monday and is held from 5:30-7 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays and 8-10 a.m. on Saturdays. Cost is $100 for members and $170 for non-members.
Join us for 12 weeks of training for this year’s Knox County Triathlon and Duathlon on June 13. We focus on strength, core, swimming, running and cycling.
The YMCA of Vincennes is now allowing day passes
Children must be 12 years or older to use the facility without adult supervision. Masks are required for entrance into the facility, in the hallways, restrooms and locker rooms. Masks are not required in area of exercise. Passes will based on daily facility capacity and COVID-19 guidelines. Call 812-895-9622 with questions.
Red Cross blood drive
The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 14 in gym 2 at the YMCA of Vincennes. Schedule your donation online at https://www.redcrossblood.org/.
Registration for lifeguard classes
Registration for lifeguard certification classes continue for April 15-17, April 29-May 2, May 13-16, May 27-30, and June 3-6. Class times will be from 6-10 p.m. on Thursday; 5-10 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday; and Sunday as needed. The registration fee is $180 and includes a $50 non-refundable deposit if participant cancels or drops out within a week of class.
Registration for the lifeguard re-certification classes are April 2-3 and May 7-8. Class times are 5-10 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday. The registration fee is $105 and includes a $50 non-refundable deposit if participant cancels or drops out within a week of class.
