Oaktown High School's 43rd Alumni Association Banquet will be held on June 22 at Oaktown Community Center. Registration with social hour from 5-6:30 p.m. Dinner, catered by Bobe-B-Q, will be served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each in advance or $25 at the door with a reservation. A short business meeting will follow and the 2019 scholarship recipients will be honored. The classes of 1949 and 1959 will be recognized.

Members of the Oaktown High School alumni are searching for anyone who was enrolled at Oaktown or attended school there prior to the closing in 1963.

The second annual South Knox Alumni get together will be 5-11 p.m. on June 29 at Highland Woods Park, 1377 S Hart St.

Roasted hog and turkey strips with all the fixings will be provided. A donation of $8 per meal is requested, and additional donations will be accepted to help fund a 2020 scholarship for a South Knox graduate.

A DJ will be providing music. Bring your lawn chair, corn hole or a deck of cards.

Classes are encouraged to decorate a table.

This event is open to all South Knox graduates, 1968 to present, including alumni from Decker, Fritchton, Monroe City and Wheatland high schools.

Come out for a fun evening and visit with classmates through the years!


The South Knox High School Class of 1984 will hold its 35th reunion on July 27 at Blossom Hill, 2697 E. Ind. 61.

Tickets are $20 per person or $30 per couple.

Cash bar will be available. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
