Knox County Public Library

I’ve always liked Billy Joel’s song “We Didn’t Start the Fire.” After doing a little research I discovered that Sean Lennon told Joel that he felt the time (1989) was the worst the world had ever been. Joel thought about his lifetime and began to write down the major events that had occurred since his birth in 1949. Those thoughts became lyrics to a song demonstrating that each era has its own worst and best moments. What joy can we find each day so that those worst moments don’t carry us away? Read on and see what I read to redirect my thoughts toward giving thanks.

Presently I catalog books at the Knox County Public Library and also conduct a weekly Mother Goose on the Loose program weekly for children in the age range of infants through 3-year-olds.
