Streeter elected president of state board
Knox County Commissioner Kellie Streeter has been elected as President of the Indiana Association of County Commissioners Southwest District during the organization’s recent annual district meeting.
Streeter will now represent elected county commissioners in the Southwest District, which is made up of Knox and its five neighboring counties as well as Dubois, Martin, Monroe, Orange, Perry, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties.
The Indiana Association of County Commissioners has a total of six districts in the state, and Streeter will also serve on its board of directors, which determines the organization’s policies and legislative goals.
Streeter has served as president of the Knox County Commissioners for the last four years, but stepped down just this week. She will continue to serve as vice-president; commissioner Trent Hinkle now serves as president.
