VPD investigates stabbing

Officers with the Vincennes Police Department on Tuesday afternoon responded to an alleged stabbing at Presidential Estates.

City police chief Bob Dunham said dispatchers received a report shortly after 4 p.m. from a unit on Truman Drive of a domestic dispute that resulted in one of them being stabbed.

One person was taken to the hospital with what Dunham said was a non-life-threatening wound while another was taken into police custody. He didn’t immediately provide their names.

Scanner traffic,

too, indicated that there were up to four children

in the home at the time of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
