Janice Kay Groves, 77, of Vincennes, entered eternal life March 19, 2021, at the home of her daughter, Laura.

Janice was born Feb. 13, 1944, in Sullivan, the daughter of George R. and Wynona (Inman) Jackson.

She was a graduate of Sullivan High School and she married Donnie L. Groves, who preceded her in death on April 14, 2014. A homemaker and mother, she made her life around her family. She formerly held membershwip in the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Janice is survived by her children, Laura Bilskie of Vincennes, Tony Reel of New Port Richey, Florida, Kay Myers of Monroe City, Wynona Catt of Vincennes, and Donnie S. Groves of Littleton, Colorado; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Billy, Breanna, Markie, Aubree, Dillon, Holly, Josh, Courtney, Jordan, Tonya and Andrew. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Pete Jackson of Salem, North Carolina, and Bobby Jackson of Columbia, North Carolina; and her sisters, Linda Lucas of Fort Wayne, Robbie Jackson of Linton, and Kim Jackson of Linton.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 3-4 p.m. on Saturday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with a memorial service to be held at 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Good Samaritan Hospital Cancer Center.
