ODON — Marilyn K. Wehmeier, of Odon, formerly of Sandborn, went to Heaven on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington.
She was born on July 17, 1933, in Holland to Arthur and Elenora (Egbert) Hemmer. Marilyn married Ives Wehmeier on January 7, 1955.
Marilyn was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. She retired from Greene County General Hospital as a registered nurse. Marilyn enjoyed making Barbie doll clothing and sewing clothing for everyone.
Family left to cherish the memory of Marilyn are one son, David (Bonnie) Wehmeier; three daughters, Carol (Douglas) Huffman, Sharon (Randall) Boberg and Karen Denise Miller; grandchildren, Ryan (Angie) Wehmeier, Greg (Emily) Huffman, Kathryn (Matthew) Turbek, Caleb Roche, Arthur Franklin (Alexandra) Roche, Lucas Miller and Joshua Miller; step-grandchildren, Kathryn Boberg and Jennifer (Joshua) Anthis; and one brother, Ronald (Mary) Hemmer.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Louis Hemmer; and a great-grandchild, Enzo Hoover Roche.
Private family services will be held on Thursday at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Fritz Rohrmayer officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest in Salem UCC Cemetery in Westphalia.
