David Edward McKinley, 60, of Vincennes, passed away and left this earthly world on Nov. 7, 2022, to go to his heavenly home and to be with the Lord in glory for all eternity. He knew this to be because, like he’d say, the Bible says so.

He was born on Aug. 26, 1962, in Pontiac, Michigan, to William and Mary (Street) McKinley Sr.

David served in the Army National Guard from 1984-1993 and attended the Westminster Presbyterian Church. David became a true believer of the Gospel of Grace and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 20, 2018. On this same day and time Dave became a member of the Body of Christ and a child of God.

Dave enjoyed talking to friends and family, studying the Bible with his brother and eating out. He didn’t know a stranger. He love his 70s music.

Surviving are a son, Tyler McKinley and his fiancee, Stephaney; a daughter, Vanessa Bunte and her husband, B.J., of Columbus; a brother, William McKinley Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Vincennes; a grandson, Graham Bunte; a niece, Tracy Masaitis and her husband, Jay, of Florida, their two sons, Jason and Jared also of Florida; and a nephew, Tony McKinley of Vincennes. He also leaves an ex-wife, Roberta Dalton of Vincennes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. McKinley Sr. and Mary (Street) McKinley.

A celebration of David’s life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service.

Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with his arrangements.
