Debara S. Melvin

Debara S. “Deb” Melvin, 68, of Vincennes, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at her home.

Born on Nov. 22, 1950, in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Elmer and Betty Jo (Phillips) Moore. Deb had worked as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital. After several years at the hospital, she moved to the Oncology Center at the Bierhaus Building. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are her husband, David Melvin, whom she married on Feb. 22, 1969; her daughter, Tuesdee Quinton of Vincennes; a sister, Dana Mikiska and her husband, Walt, of Fort Wayne; and a grandson, Luke Quinton.

Her parents and two sisters preceded her.

Friends may visit with Deb's family from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
