Oneta Louise Campbell

Oneta Louise Campbell, 99, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

She had worked at the White Diner and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Joseph Deloriea, Debbie Deloriea and Nancy Barrix.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. CDT on Saturday at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Claremont, Illinois. Visitation will be 10-10:45 a.m. CDT on Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.

Virginia P. Kensek

Virginia P. “Ginnie” Kensek, 92, of Vincennes, passed away at 8:38 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was born on April 2, 1927 in Point Marion, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Samuel and MaryBelle (Mitts) Wilson. She was one of the first women insurance agents for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and after a successful career in that industry she owned and operated Red Carpet Travel Agency in Vincennes and Washington.

Surviving are her daughter, Victoria Ross and her husband, Robert of Fort Wayne; her grandsons, Michael and Stephen, both of Fort Wayne; and her nephew and niece John and MaryAnn Kensek of Plainville.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Michael L. Kensek, whom she wed on Oct. 6, 1945 and preceded her in 2009; three brothers, Robert, Harry, and Ronald Wilson; and a sister, Connie Kensek.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St., with Stacy Downing officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Virginia Kensek.

Thomas Oren McCrary Sr.

Thomas Oren McCrary Sr., 93, of Bruceville, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1926, in Knox County, the son of Glenn and Geneva Lloyd (Sheren) McCrary. Thomas married Bessie Anderson on Dec. 20, 1944, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 1995. Thomas owned and operated the Wheelers Radiator Repair Shop. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Vincennes, the Rod and Gun Club in Bruceville, and was a member of the Bruceville Methodist Church. He also loved to work on cars in his free time.

He is survived by his three children: Mary Campbell and her husband, Mac, of Bruceville, Thomas McCrary Jr. and his wife, Hooky, of Petersburg, and Rodney McCrary and his wife, Vivian, of Vincennes; a sister, Linda Hagemeier of Bruceville; a brother, Jim McCrary and his wife, Mary, of Oaktown; five grandchildren, Jennifer Cates, Karen Black and her husband, Brad, Tom McCrary III and his wife, Mara, Jessica Mikeworth and her husband, Sam, and Brian McCrary and his wife, Allie; great-grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; his wife; five brothers, Robert McCrary, Larry McCrary, Gene McCrary, Jack McCrary, Maurice McCrary; and his sister, Norma Mouzin.

Visitation will 4-8 p.m. on Monday at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Bruceville Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jarrod Chattin presiding.
