Dan Ellerman

Dan Ellerman, 68, of Hazleton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North.

He was born on March 12, 1951 in Vincennes to the late Enos and Betty (Burkhart) Ellerman. Dan was a graduate of South Knox High School and a retired farmer. He had resided in the Hazleton community for the past 45 years, coming from Knox County. Dan loved playing poker, the outdoors, his beagles, hunting and fishing, but most especially his grandkids.

Dan is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen Ellerman of Hazleton; a daughter, Dannica Wehlage and her husband, Bryan, of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Rarity and Gibson Wehlage; three siblings, David Ellerman of Decker, Penny Beard and her husband, Scott, of Sullivan and Brian Ellerman and his wife, Jan, of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. CST today at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Nathan P. Rastl officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gibson County Animal Services, P.O. Box 474, Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
