Marty A. Ashby
Marty Alan Ashby, 50, of Bicknell, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside.
Marty was born on Nov. 29, 1969, in Vincennes, the son of Prentiss H. “Butch”Ashby and Joy McDonald Ashby. He was a graduate of North Knox High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1989 to 1993. He was employed by Indianapolis Power & Light and attended the Mariah Creek Church. He was a member of the French Club and a devoted father, son, and brother.
He is survived by his children, Kristi Sanders and her husband, Tyler, of Bicknell, Kaitlyn Ashby of Vincennes, and Michael Ashby of Sanborn; his mother, Joy Ashby, of Bicknell; a brother, Jonathan W. Ashby and his wife, Regina, of Kokomo, and a twin brother, Mark A. Ashby and his wife, Heather, of Wadesville; his nephews Ethan and Levi; his nieces Mason and Samantha; and great-nephew and a great-niece.
Marty was preceded in death by his father, Prentiss “Butch” Ashby, and a nephew, Daniel.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel in Bicknell with Pastor Kathy Stephens officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Carlisle IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw is honored to serve the Ashby family during their time of loss.
Derek Sterling Blair
Derek Sterling Blair, 30, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019.
He worked at Weston’s Lawn Care.
Survivors include his parents, Dennis Blair and Jill (Robbins) Blair; his son, Andrew Blair; his siblings, Matthew Ryan Blair, Teanna Maddox and Melissa Moran; and his grandparents, Paul and Patricia Blair.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. CST on Friday at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Illinois. Private burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be 1 p.m. CST until the hour of services on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cunningham Funeral Home to assist the family.

Dixie Ann Bouchie
Dixie Ann Bouchie, 84, of Vincennes, passed away at her home at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, with her daughter at her bedside.
Dixie was born on June 29, 1935 in Oaktown, the daughter of Landrey and LaVaughn Benefiel Horn. Dixie graduated from Oaktown High School in 1953 and from the Vincennes Business College. She was a licensed insurance agent in several states during her 40-year career in the insurance industry. Dixie married Paul R. Bouchie on Aug. 11, 1956, in St. John Catholic Church, and they made their life together for nearly 59 years. Dixie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was very involved in many church activities including liturgy lector, Prayer Warriors, Eucharistic adoration, Bible studies, the Ladies Tuesday Rosary Group, and she enjoyed daily Mass.
Dixie is survived by her daughter, Denise Gartner of Vincennes; her grandson, Nicholas Gartner of Evansville; her granddaughter, Janelle Gartner of Vincennes; and her beloved grand dog, Lou. She is also survived by a sister, Linda George, of Louisville, Kentucky; her half-sisters, Shannon Weisheit and her husband, Marlin, of Boonville, Hester Lubbehusen and her husband, Tom, of Dale, and Rita Hammond of Pensacola, Florida; her half-brother Chris Horn and his wife, Doris, of Lynnville; her brother-in-law, Robert Kramer of Vincennes; and by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her niece, Shayne Zanetis, of Louisville; her nephew, Blair; and by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. John Catholic Church with Father Tony Ernst and Father Simon Natha officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7:30 p.m. on Sunday with the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home, 521 Vigo St. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vincennes Catholic Schools.
Patty Tredway Feiock
Patty Tredway Feiock, 94, of Saint Francisville, Illinois, died on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019.
She was an artist and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Mike Tredway, Becky Gehl, L.J. Tredway and Venna Tredway.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. CST on Friday at the Methodist Church. Burial will be in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Visitation with a Rosary service will be 5-7 p.m. CST today at Glasser Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Citizens Center in St. Francisville.
