Edith Lucille (Bobe) Cooper, 89, of Vincennes, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 5, 1931, in Vincennes to Gilbert and Dorothy (Cox) Bobe.

Edith had worked for Montgomery Ward, Dr. Wolfe, Bill Bobe’s Pizzeria, and Larry Bobe’s Pizza. She was a former member of the Trinity Methodist Church and was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School. Edith loved working crossword and Sudoku puzzles, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, who will be greatly missed.

Surviving are a daughter, Kara Cooper and her partner, Steven Martin, of Bicknell; her grandson, Slade Ashton Martin; her sister, Judy Bobe of Vincennes; her brother, Larry Bobe and his wife, Donna, of Lawrenceville; along with five nephews, three nieces, 13 great-nephews, eight great-nieces, two great-great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Granville Cooper, whom proceeded her in November of 1971; brothers, Bill Bobe and his wife, Janet, Jack Bobe and his first wife, VerJeanne, and second wife, Corinne, and Byron Bobe and his wife Pat; and two nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. Private family funeral services will follow with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
