Martin T. Hornback

Martin T. Hornback, 76, of Vincennes, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at his home.

Marty was born on April 4, 1943, in Vincennes to Barthel and Mary (Alton) Hornback. For many years, he worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor at the Indiana Vocational Center. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Private family graveside services were held at the Wheatland Cemetery. Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home assisted his family with the arrangements.

Gary Mundy

Gary Mundy, 73, of Bicknell, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 18, 1945, in Vincennes, the son of Delbert and Beulah (Beaman) Mundy. He married his high school sweetheart, Lynn E. Snellenberger, and she survives. He was a member of the Bicknell Church of Christ, Past Master of the Bicknell Masonic Lodge 535, the Bicknell French Club and the Clarks Volunteers of Vincennes.

Along with his wife he is survived by his children; Tina Mundy and her husband, Keith, and Tammy Thompson and her husband, Jim; five grandchildren, Tiffney Thompson, Mathew Thompson and his wife, Misty, Zachary Jacobs and his wife, Stephanie, Micheal Jacobs, and Clayton Mundy; nine great-grandchildren, Keagan Thompson, Kynlee Legg, Kaysen Legg, Bryson Thompson, Draven Thompson, Byron Butler, Drake Butler, Gabe Geary, and soon to be Gracie Rae Jacobs; a brother, Don Mundy and his wife, Linda; brothers-in-law John Albrecht and Dave Snellenberger and his wife, Linda; sisters-in-law Jane Mundy, Eldina Benidict and Laura Carlisle and her husband, Gib; and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Beulah Mundy; an infant son; a sister, Nancy Albrecht; and a brother, William "Bill" Mundy.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Monday at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Bicknell Chapel, with Pastor John Trotter presiding. Burial will follow in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Monday at the Funeral Home. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Bicknell Chapel handled the arrangements.

Larry Gene Sanneman

Larry Gene Sanneman, 82, of Orange, California, and a former Vincennes resident, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Larry was born on Oct. 6, 1936, the oldest son of Cleophous “Bud” Sanneman and Harriett Katherine (White) Sanneman. He attended Vincennes Catholic grade schools and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1954. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and as an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He moved to California in 1961 and retired from the Orange County Marshal’s Office, serving in the Fullerton and Anaheim Courts. His family was his pride and love.

He is survived by his daughter, Kisha Sanneman Rivello and her husband, Joe, and their children Nickolas, Joseph and Sean Rivello; his sister-in-law, Linda (Elkins) Sanneman; his nieces and nephews, Scott Sanneman and Andrea Sanneman, Jera Waddington Law and Arron Waddington and his spouse, Sandy Mason.

Larry was preceded by his parents; his brother, Anthony “Tony” Sanneman; and his sister, Sandy Sanneman Waddington and her husband, Jerry Waddington.

A Military Honor Services will be held at Riverside, California, Military Cemetery on May 17.

A Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated in Vincennes later this summer.
