Andrew L. Cooper, 53, of Vincennes, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Good Samaritan.
He was born Aug. 28, 1967, in Vincennes to Ralph and Bonnie (Underhill) Cooper.
Andrew worked as a team leader at Futaba and had worked in the heating and cooling business for many years. A 1986 graduate of Lincoln High School, Andrew served in United States Army/Indiana Army National Guard from 1986 to 1991, receiving the Purple Heart and other awards.
Surviving are his wife Gisela (Gutermuth) Cooper of Vincennes; his mother, Bonnie Cooper of Vincennes; his children, Cassie Cooper of Vincennes, Sean Cooper of Vincennes, and Jonathan Cooper of Vincennes; his stepchildren, Kevin Arnold of Dale and Patrick Byers of Vincennes; a brother, Dwayne Cooper of Muncie; and his grandchildren, Novalee Cooper, Alexander Cooper, William Cooper, Addielynn Cooper, Declan Cooper, Neveah Lunsford, Dayton Lunsford, Hayley Arnold, Kayla Arnold and Jake Arnold. Preceding him in death were his father, Ralph Cooper; and a brother, Jeff Cooper.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., with burial to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
