Gerald Eugene “Gene” Foster, 76, of Vincennes, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 30, 1945, in English to Arthur Wilson and Anabelle (Eaton) Foster and was born the sixth child of 13.

Gene had worked for Fortners Pest Control, Fabco Woodworking and Knox County Association for Remarkable Citizens. He was a graduate of Decker High School.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharlena Foster of Florida and Andrea Foster of Louisiana; his brothers, Gary Foster of Vincennes and Theodore “Ted” Foster of Winslow; three sisters, Suzanne Tapley of Vincennes, Sharon Smith of Vincennes, and Sandra Greentree of Bicknell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a step-son, Anthony “Tony” Bowers of Vincennes.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Mettie Rhoades; and six brothers, Jack, Danny, Charles, Jim, Isaac, and Raymond Foster.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service.
