Michael J Pickett passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Feb. 4, 2021, at Good Samaritan in Vincennes.
Michael was born on Oct. 2, 1941, in Vincennes to the late Clarence Leo Pickett and Martha Jane (Cobb) Pickett. He married Mary Elizabeth Allen on Oct. 6, 1961.
Michael had worked at Westinghouse and the Brown Shoe Company. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and watching his favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals play. He was a Cardinal enthusiast. He also enjoyed frequenting the library, reading, collecting treasures he would find, and watching old westerns on TV.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Michella Anne Secrest and her husband, Jerry, of Dugger, Rebecca Jean Joyner and her husband, Fred, of Jackson, Tennessee, Tamala Renette Bogard and her husband, Olin, of Carlisle; brothers, John Anthony Pickett of Brownsburg, Gregory Pickett of Petersburg, Marsha Chambers of Vincennes, and Terry Lee Pickett of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Melissa Ashley Kozak (Nathan); Jonathan Michael Joyner (Sara Katherine); Jacob Murray Joyner; Cassidy Nagelkirk (Tristan); Courtney Elizabeth James (Levi); and great grandchildren, Layla Claire Joyner, Amelia Kate Joyner, Chadwick Michael Joyner, and Liam Patrick Kozak.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Clarence and Martha Pickett; and brother, Randall Pickett.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Goodwin-Sievers Gardner Brockman funeral home at 505 Main St. in Vincennes.
