Kenneth L. Anthis, 78, of Vincennes, died at 8 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019.
He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Stearns) Anthis; his children, Tamara Kolarick, Kenneth Anthis Jr. and Michael Anthis; and his siblings, Janie Wood, Rose Shore, Becky Eufracio, Marvin Anthis, Ronnie Anthis, and David Anthis
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Trevor Murry officiating. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Kenneth Anthis.
Aaron LaVon Parish
Aaron LaVon “Vonnie” Parish of Vincennes entered into this life on March 28, 1935 and passed this life peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was 84.
Aaron had a natural love for life and people, he never met a stranger and many were lucky to call him friend. He loved to travel, watch Cowboy Westerns, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Indiana University basketball. He was a loving husband, amazing father, and a beloved “Poppy.” He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Aaron was a lifelong member of the Church Of Christ in Vincennes as well as in Petaluma, California.
Aaron is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Earline Sneed Parish; three siblings, Jeanette Fullington, Margie McCormack, and Steve Parish; nine children, Don Parish, Janet Parish, Marcie Arango, Greg Parish, Matt Parish, Kim Colyer, Mark Parish, Julie Albin, and Brad Parish; 28 grandchildren, Cristy, Balinda, Lori, Cary, Bryce, Spencer, Brian, Jennifer, Amy, Doug, Joey, Katie, Ryan, Jeff, Ragan, Jessica, Brandon, Autumn, Megan, Kristin, Madison, Aaron, Wally, Louise, Kiley, Isabella, Alexandra, and Zachariah; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews
Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Goldie Parish; his brothers, Philip “Joker” Parish and Larry Parish; his children, Ronnie Parish and Debbie Parish Utt; and his granddaughter Claire Parish Noonis.
“I’ve got a mansion just over the hilltop, in that bright land where we’ll never grow old, and someday yonder we’ll never more wander, but walk on streets that are purest gold.”

Shirley J. Shores, 74, of Vincennes, IN,died on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019.
She worked at the Walmart in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
Survivors include her children, Tamara Carrie-Oeding, Jeffrey Carrie, Joseph Calvert, and Wanona “Crickett” Calvert; and her brother, Paul Carson
There will be no public services at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Goodwin Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
