James David Hedge, 54, of Vincennes, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020.

He was born on March 29, 1965, in Gary to John and Sherry (Williams) Hedge. Jim was a 1983 South Knox graduate and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a carpenter building and remodeling houses, and enjoyed golfing and riding his motorcycle.

Surviving are his parents, John and Sherry Hedge of Vincennes; his son, Skyler Hedge, of Louisville, Kentucky; two brothers, Mark Hedge and his wife, Susan, of Vincennes, and Chris Hedge and his wife, Marlene, of Fairfax, Virginia; his grandson, Sean Hedge of Louisville; along with two nieces, one nephew, one great-niece and two great-nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., with Pastor Dan Bobbitt officiating.  Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the hour of services today at the funeral home. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of James David Hedge.

Marilyn Mahrenholz

Marilyn “Sue” Mahrenholz, 74, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 in Okeechobee, Florida.

She was born on July 13, 1945, in Lawrenceville, the daughter of George Lewis and Elsie Ellen (Jones) Snyder. She married Stephen Mahrenholz on Jan. 16, 1991, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2014. She was a farm wife and retired from the Lawrenceville Moose. She enjoyed going to the casino at French Lick, going to church, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing golf with her friends at the local golf course. She was a member of the Rising Sun Christian Church, the Lawrenceville Moose, and the American Legion.

Survivors include her three children, Bobby Moyes of St. Francisville, Illinois, Sandra Grove and her husband, Jeff, of Lawrenceville, and Frank Moyes and his wife, Amy, of Lawrenceville; one step-daughter, Amy Whitlock and her husband, Dave, of Kokomo; 10 grandchildren, Julie Taylor, Cassie Travers, Codey Moyes, Kori Moyes, Alyssa Moyes, Mercedes Grove, Thomas Grove, Madelynn Moyes, Jaedyn Moyes, Bradley Mahrenholz; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Stephen; one brother, Franklin Snyder; two sisters, Janice Moore and Mary Shoulders; and one step-son, Bradley Mahrenholz.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. CST on Monday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. CST until the hour of services on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rising Sun Christian Church.

Sidney J. McClure

Sidney J. McClure, 79, of St. Francisville, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, Feb.12, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

He was born on Dec. 17, 1940, in Vincennes, the son of Sidney Kyle and Alvina M. (Ackman) McClure. He married Glenda Warner Ridgway on July 21, 2005 and she survives. Sidney was a life-long farmer. He had a strong faith in God, and attended the Community United Methodist Church in Vincennes. He was a role model to his family and friends, as well as a loving father, husband, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda; two children, Greg McClure and his wife, Amy, of rural St. Francisville, and Angie Sweeten and her husband, Jeff, of rural Lawrenceville; two step-daughters, Karen Hamm and her husband, Jonathan, of Mishawaka, and Andrea Ridgway of Highland Park, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Cameron McClure and his wife, Samantha, Eric McClure and his fiancée, Maisie Langholff, Caitlin Weaver and her husband, Kevin, Sierra Wolpert and her husband, Chad, Kramer Sweeten and his wife, Brooke, Ronald Hamm, Emmalynn Hamm, and Jaser Apelian; and two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Wolpert and Lakelyn Sweeten.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Donald McClure and Walter McClure; and one sister, Doris M. Robinson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. CST on Saturday at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville with Ray Tromley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Charlottesville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the hour of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
