Memorial Day is a day when we as Americans, honor the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice by laying down their life’s in order to preserve the freedoms we enjoy and it is important to honor those who died while wearing the uniform of the United States.

The times may beckon the brave in uniform who battled to secure the blessings of liberty, and we have a duty to remember and honor all of those who answered the call and those answering the call.

Veterans are ordinary men and women who did and do extraordinary things because they believed in protecting their country.

On this Memorial Day weekend, prior to getting all revved up for the Indianapolis 500, cook outs, round of golf or just relaxing, we need thank the many veterans who have made this country so great by their sacrifices, a safe and better place to live, work and enjoy life.

If you should recognize a veteran this Memorial Day or any other day, simply walk up and say “Thank you."

Remember to fly the flag on Memorial Day and every other day.

God Bless Veterans.
