Oftentimes I don't agree with positions taken by The Sun-Commercial i its editorials on issues.

However, we could not be more in accord than on the issue of the Indiana High SChool Athletic Association and baseball games being played on Memorial Day.

Your editorial of Tuesday, May 29, is right on target.

Since it is obvious to all that the day was set aside to honor the fallen who gave their all to defend us, we can only assume that the false god of sports and the shallowness of contemporary society have overtaken us.

What an indictment!
