To the Editor

On the evening of July 4, thousands of people from the Vincennes community and surrounding area gathered to watch the annual fireworks display at George Rogers Clark National Historical Park. The grounds of the Memorial on the morning of July 5 inevitably bear the mark of such a large crowd.

Luckily for park staff, every year the scouts, scout leaders, and parents of Troop 203, Venture Troop 2210, and Troop 210 come out to help clean up the mess. This year we had a group of over 20 scouts and leaders, plus a few individuals from the community.

On behalf of the staff and visitors of the park, we would like to sincerely thank our generous scouts and volunteers for all their help.
