Knox County players accounted for over one-third of the selections as the Blue Chip Conference announced it's all-conference baseball team on Thursday.
North Knox, which earned a piece of the league title for the first time since 1992, and South Knox each had three players selected, and Rivet had one.
Picks from the Warriors are junior Holtman Doades, sophomore Kale Jones, and senior Cole Jones was named one of three pitchers on the team. South Knox honorees are juniors Logan Fisher and Tristian Wirth, and sophomore Dylan Maeder. Senior Charlie Niehaus was selected from the Patriots.
Doades led the conference in hitting this year with a .591 average (13-of-22). Cole Jones topped the league with 42 strikeouts.
Others selected to the Blue Chip baseball team are Luke Nonte, Jordan Wildman, Jalen Wildman and Isaac Waggner, Loogootee; Nick Swartzentruber, Logan Graber and Chase Graber, Barr-Reeve; Ty Kalb and Colby Pieper, Northeast Dubois; Carter Roush, Shoals; and Owen Day, Wood Memorial. Waggner and Pieper join Jones as pitchers.
North Knox, Barr-Reeve and Loogootee all finished 6-1 to share the league championship. Northeast Dubois was 4-3, South Knox 3-4, Shoals 2-5, Wood Memorial 1-6 and Rivet 0-7.
