Recent South Knox graduate Garrett Couchenour was among the 175 players named Academic All-State by the Indiana Baseball Coaches Association for the 2019 season.
Couchenour was a four-year starter for the Spartans who spent time this past season at shortstop and catcher. He's continuing his education and baseball career at Vincennes University.

Lincoln all-sport tickets on sale
All-sport passes for Lincoln sporting events are on sale at the school's athletic office.
Adult all-sport passes are $80, and student passes are $45. Family passes are also available for $190 and includes four all-sport passes, two adults and two students.
General admission to high school events throughout the school year are $5, though some events may vary. For junior high and elementary events, adult general admission tickets are $3 and students are $2.

Rivet, Clark both post soccer wins
Rivet and Clark split middle school boys and girls soccer matches Wednesday at the Lincoln pitch.
The Patriots claimed the boys match, 5-1. Max Weiss had two goals for Rivet; Mason Trent a goal and an assist; Kyle Daugherty and Mitchell Earley goals; and John Gafner an assist. Keeper Jayden Ray made five saves. Jacob Bezy scored the Alices’ goal, with keeper Peyton Piper collecting 10 saves.
Clark’s girls won, 5-2. Vinci Weisenberger scored twice for the Alices, with Kiaya Farrar and Madelyn Mitchell also tallied. Brianna Grismore notched 12 saves. Lissa Willis and Alli Stearns had the Patriots goals. Chris Rehwald collected nine saves and Stearns four.
