ROBINSON, Ill. — Robinson's big plays started with the opening kickoff, and Red Hill never found footing in the Maroons' 35-0 Little Illini Conference victory Friday.

The Salukis (0-2 overall, LIC) were held to three first downs and 100 total yards in the defeat. Gannon Gaither completed 3-of-6 passes for 64 yards and was also the team's top rusher with 19 yards in 13 carries.

Robinson (1-1 overall, LIC) scored twice in the first five minutes of the game to forge a 14-0 halftime lead. Dylan York ran the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, then teammate Tyler Beard scored on a 54-yard run with 7:29 to go in the first quarter for the two-score lead.

Red Hill held the Maroons off the scoreboard for the next 24 minutes, but the offense couldn't take advantage. Beard added a 44-yard touchdown run in a 14-point Robinson third quarter to push the lead to 28-0.

The Salukis host Olney at 7 p.m. CDT next Friday.
