Rivet's girls golf team, paced by Lily Waggoner's medalist round of 39, successfully defending its title in the Knox County match Friday at the Country Club of Old Vincennes.
The Lady Patriots fired a 177, followed by South Knox's 196, North Knox's 220 and Lincoln's 224.
Waggoner played the last six holes in 2-over in her medalist round. Rivet had season bests from its other three scorers: Emma Robinson and Alicia McGuire 45, and Cadence Mills 48. Maddi Halter shot 51 and Victoria Linn 53.
"I was proud of Lily. Shooting a 39 is solid," Patriots coach Charlie Waggoner said. "Emma continues to improve and Alicia and Cadence had their personal bests."
Trinity Dubbs, Salena Dellinger and Lauren Haveman all carded 48s for the Spartans, with Bethany Williams the fourth scorer at 52.
"Salena has been in the 40s all week, so I like her consistency. I was glad to see Lauren back in the 40s, and Bethany shot her best round of the season," South Knox coach Mark Gray said. "The pin placements were kind of tough, and it led to a lot of three-putts for us, but we did hit it well."
Tori French paced the Warriors with a 51. Isabella May had 52, Sara Richardson 56 and Hope Leydet 61 to complete the scoring. Emma Miller shot 63 and Milee Lane 64.
Gwen Hayes topped the Alices with a 47. Reece Johnson shot 50, Bailey Robb 63 and Tatum Rich 64. The team played without normal No. 2 scorer Krislyn Shepard, who had to withdraw.
On Wednesday, Rivet hosts North Knox and Terre Haute North at 5 p.m., and Lincoln entertains Mount Carmel at 4:30 p.m. South Knox and North Knox are at Sullivan at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
