North Knox's football team captured its first outright Southwest Conference championship a few weeks ago, and the Warriors were rewarded recently with 11 of the 28 spots on the all-conference squad.
Earning the honors on the offense were running back Cole Richter, wide receiver Holtman Doades and lineman Trevor Kahre, Ben Burke, Ethan Haag and Jalen Conrad. Defensive selections for North Knox were lineman Dylan Wolfe and Beau Noland, linebacker Troy Noland, and defensive backs Reece Hammelman and Zach Boyles.
Other offensive selections were quarterback Tanner Reed, running back Demitrius Owens, wide receivers Josh Krusenklaus and Ted Lamson, lineman Alex Steffy and at-large pick Kirk Wagler, North Daviess; and lineman Lukas Hamm and at-large J.C. Lewis, Eastern Greene. Defensive picks are lineman Matthew Keith and Jake Miley, linebackers Austin Weber and Daryn Lengacher and at-large Dante Hopkins, North Daviess; linebacker Jarrett Long, defensive back Tristan Vincz and at-large Ty Rollins, Eastern Greene; and defensive back Peyton Seay, North Central.
The Warriors were unbeaten in the league at 3-0, North Daviess 2-1, Eastern 1-2 and North Central 0-3.

Rivet's seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams opened their seasons on Tuesday with lopsided victories over St. Mary's of Mount Carmel, Ill., at Holscher Gym.
The eighth-grade Patriots grabbed a 46-23 win. Arianna Gerkin led the way with 26 points, eight rebounds, five blocks, three assists, two steals. Reese McBee had eight points, nine rebounds, two assists; Allison Hensley four points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals; Anna Herman four points, five blocks; Kaydee Mischler and Gracie Lamb two points; and Ella Benson five rebounds.
Rivet's seventh grade cruised, 46-2. Lissa Willis had 16 points; Elexus Frey 10 points, three rebounds, two assists; Mary Herman eight points, eight rebounds; Natalie Earley eight points, four rebounds; Blaize Wagner two points, seven rebounds; Laney Oakes two points; Alyssa Hedge four rebounds; Emma Gafner three rebounds; and Jaimee Howder one rebound.
Lincoln fall sports
banquet Nov. 18
Tickets are on sale for Lincoln's annual fall sports banquet, hosted at the LHS cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18.
The cost is $10, and tickets can be purchased at the Lincoln athletic office through next Thursday. American Legion and McDonald's Awards will be presented in their respective sports before each team and their families head to different rooms to distribute other individual awards.
