SULLIVAN — Freshman Trinity Dubbs was 3-under par after five holes and shot a season-best 38 to lead South Knox’s girls golf team to a quadrangular match win at the Sullivan Elks course.

The Lady Spartans carded a season-best 190, with North Knox the runner-up at 216. Sullivan had 223 and Clay City 232.

Salena Dellinger tied her season-best with a 45, Lauren Haveman had 53 and Hailee Cooper 54. Bethany Williams notched a 61 and Andrea Williams a 67.

“The greens were fast and were tough to putt, but our girls did a good job of adjusting,” South Knox assistant coach Malcolm Dubbs said. “Trinity had an awesome start to her round.”

The Spartans play Rivet and Washington at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Country Club of Old Vincennes.
