HAMILTON, Ontario — Adam Schenk continued his strong play at the RBC Canadian Open on Friday, shooting a 2-under-par 68 to climb to 6-under halfway through the tournament.

The Vincennes golfer finished Friday in the same spot he finished Thursday, in 15th place, and should stay within the top 20 when the entire field completes its round.

He had a promising start Friday, with birdies on the par-4 first, the par-5 fourth and the par-3 sixth to climb to 7-under overall. But bogeys on the par-4 ninth and 11th holes mixed with a birdie on the par-4 10th dropped Schenk's score to 6-under. He followed that stretch with seven consecutive pars to complete the round.

FedExCup leader Matt Kuchar and Scott Brown share the second-round lead at 12-under. They are one ahead of Brandt Snedeker, who had the day's best round, a 10-under 60.
